Parasite Chair ( 37h • 18w • 23d inches )
What if a piece of furniture were to have a parasitical relationship with the environment in which it exists? I know…just go with it for a minute.
Based loosely on that notion and void of its own supporting structure, this chair derives its usability from a relationship, of sorts, with its host wall and floor. The bent-laminated unit is wrapped with a single sheet of pure gum rubber (with the seam underneath the seat) that allows for traction with the host surfaces.
It tends to scare the hell out of the uninitiated, but those who are in the know find it quite secure and comfortable.
